'Memories & Imagination' is a retrospective exhibition exploring Sharda Mehta's career and life as an artist through her paintings, works on paper and prints.

Born in Tanzania, Sharda’s work takes inspiration and draws upon experiences from her life in East Africa, her Indian roots and her time in her much loved Highgate.

She trained at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London studying painting, watercolour and printmaking, with etching developing over time as her preferred medium to capture and express her world of memories and imagination.

For three decades Sharda has exhibited in London and other British towns, most recently at Burgh House, Hampstead, in 2023, and has had works included in numerous Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions. Sharda has also previously exhibited her work at Lauderdale House in 1997 and 2005. Her work forms part of many private collections.

Please join Sharda at the Private View of the exhibition on Wednesday, 11 September from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

It is free to attend, and everyone is welcome; please just RSVP here to help her gauge numbers.
