Opening Dates & Hours

Join us for a mesmerising brush painting exhibition featuring the works of Helena Hung, a London-based brush painter renowned for her captivating fusion of "East meets West" art and mastery of traditional techniques.

In this exhibition, Helena unveils her awe-inspiring collection, which centres around floral and avian motifs, animals, picturesque landscapes/nature and human figures. Blending traditional brush painting techniques with contemporary sensibility, Helena's fascination with nature is evident. The artworks capture the elegance of birds, harmony with nature, and the beauty of flowers. They create captivating narratives, resonating aesthetically and emotionally with viewers. One distinctive aspect of brush painting is the harmonious marriage of painting and
calligraphy. Each of these pieces is accompanied by calligraphy, often featuring poems or writings that can reflect the artwork's mood and emotion. This harmonious fusion offers viewers a profound understanding of the beauty within each creation, creating a deeper connection between the artist and viewers.

Using ink, water, colour, and rice paper, she brings these subjects to life with finesse, employing brushes crafted from the fine sheep and wolves' hair. Witness her talent as she achieves five distinct ink tones in a single brushstroke, showcasing an unparalleled technique and skill that underpin the art of brush painting.
