Come and see a beautiful new exhibition by the participants of the Camden Summer University: Intro to Photography Course at Lauderdale House, featuring their portraiture, long exposure, landscape and food photography, all thoughtfully curated by the young people themselves.
The course forms part of Lauderdale’s summer programme ‘Places, Spaces and Faces: My Area’, funded by John Lyon’s Charity. The focus of these workshops was to discover the local area through a lens, using architecture, people and objects to tell Highgate’s story.
Led by Etienne, Education & Training Manager at The Photography Foundation, seven young people spent two days learning how to use digital cameras and take a range of photos including long and short exposure, portraits, food and landscape photography.
The young people spent the final day curating their photos, learning about photo editing and exhibition design and layout, and worked together to create and hang this exhibition.
Congratulations to Burhan, Abigail, Kevin, Maria, Raffa, Lilly and Matteo for completing the course and creating a wonderful exhibition, and thank you to Etienne for leading the sessions, Karin, for supporting the young people, and John Lyon’s Charity for funding the project.
