Edmund Schulenburg presents a colourful array of landscapes, still life and portraiture spanning 10 years of work.
Edmund's paintings have been inspired by the countries he has visited, including South Africa (where he was born), Mexico, Namibia, France and the UK. While he prefers landscapes and still life paintings, this exhibition also includes features some of his portraiture.
Though Edmund did not study art at school, he has always had a great interest in it and began attending exhibitions at a young age. Qualified as an eye surgeon, Edmund Schulenburg retired six years ago. Since then, Edmund has devoted most of his time to developing his painting and drawing skills. He has been studying life drawing under the tutelage of Clare Grossman for over two decades and more recently joined her oil painting class.
