Angela Eden, David MacKenzie, Janet Kumar, Jennifer Worrall, and Martin Bould are 5 local artists, (three of them live within a mile of Lauderdale house) all from very different career backgrounds but with the love of art in common, and the drive to practice it. They work together one day a week in a studio on Hornsey Road.
Their work is from very different parts of the artistic spectrum with each of them using different media. Working together gives them tremendous mutual support and they have a practice of gathering round to give constructive criticism. In that way a “second pair of eyes” can help to steer work towards greater harmony and success. What they have in common is their origins some years ago in art sessions run by a visionary teacher, Dubravka Kalinich, whose work has evolved into Art Class London, on Hornsey Road, where they still have their studio space. Getting out to the studio once a week ensures that some creative work is done and the mutual respect amongst their group provides support even beyond the artistic, but importantly gives a forum for their creative needs.
