Finland’s only Piano Balladist and artist of the legendary Mons Records makes his London debut in the Lauderdale House!

Once Heikki was a promising astronomer who found the origins of Saturn's rings, but he was also a son of an alcoholic mother. Since he was a small child he played his own songs on piano, and music had been his safe haven throughout his life. When he fell into deep depression, he was lifted from the abyss by the magical Soul Songs.

Since then the vagabond musician/composer who 'hears' music when he is in nature, has toured with Soul Songs and was immediately signed by Mons Records [Clark Terry (Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington), Bob Mintzer (Buddy Rich, Tito Puente, Jaco Pastorius),...] . Double CD "Soul Songs Vol. 1 & Vol. 2" (Mons Records, released 8th of Nov. 2024) has garnered rave reviews for its colourful emotions.

Simone Theobald's review praised Soul Songs for “combin[ing] peace and spirituality with creativity and craftsmanship so that the result is one work full of emotions and memories” (inHard/inMusik.de). Heikki Hallanoro truly delivers something very special - something warm from the arctic circle. No wonder that, as of December 2024, he is the 3rd most listened to finnish pianist.
