Step into a Persian Paradise Garden
Situated in the far corner of the Tea Lawn, we have installed an artwork created by Mehrdad Aref-Adib, Artist & Curator of Lauderdale House’s Nowruz Festival. It was inspired by a 17th-century Persian artwork, now found in The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Have a seat on the bench and listen to Mehrdad explaining the inspiration and meaning behind this artwork. You can also read the transcript here.
Share your pictures of our Persian Paradise Garden with us using the hashtag #NowruzInTheHouse
Many thanks to the British Institute of Persian Studies for their Outreach Project Grant given in support of our Nowruz Festival.
