Overview
Programme

Book now for a captivating concert reimagining the rich tapestry of Spanish and Latin American music.

Tenor Nicholas Martin and virtuosic pianist Lora Dimitrova are inviting audiences to join them on a rich and emotionally resonant journey through more than a century of musical heritage. Together, they blend folk, tango, popular, and operatic traditions—crafting a shared musical language that transcends time and borders.

Through bold storytelling, expressive phrasing, and improvisational flair, Nicholas brings to life the vibrant histories of Latin American and Spanish song, while Lora’s sensitive and commanding pianism provides the emotional heart of the performance. Their musical connection is seamless—two artists moving as one, creating performances that are immersive, transformative, and deeply human.

Nicholas and Lora first met in 2001 at Canterbury Christ Church University, where Nicholas was completing his Master’s in Music and Lora was guest Head of Performance. Their artistic chemistry was immediate. Having met Nicholas, Lora was keen to work with him, so moved was she by the colour and power of voice, and by their shared musical sensibility and phrasing. A lasting friendship followed, and now, after years apart, they unite on stage for the first time. Their combined artistry and mutual respect give rise to a singular musical experience—one that promises to sweep listeners away.
